Hello!
The Double-crested cormorant is a goose-sized waterbird native to North America and very common at Wakodatchee Wetlands in Delray, Florida.
Double Crested Cormorants are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act which prohibits the killing or harming of these birds without prior authorization by the FWS (Fish and Wildlife Service) Under the Act, the Service implements conventions between the United States and four neighboring countries (Canada, Mexico, Russia, and Japan) for the protection of shared migratory birds.www.fws.gov.
Impressive captures of the beautiful cormorant! I am so happy to learn that it is protected by international treatt.
