Zurich is located in the center of Switzerland and at the heart of Europe. As Zurich Airport has its own train station, you can transfer directly from the plane onto a train.
The trip into the city center takes just 10 minutes, and with eight hours layover before my next flight to Paris… I had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the city and some of Zurich’s landmark as the Old Town, and The double towers of the Grossmünster.
