A visit to the International Buddhist Society in Richmond, CA

“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”

The International Buddhist Society Temple is one of the largest and most authentic temples in North America. The temple architecture was inspired by traditional Chinese imperial design and authentic Chinese craftsmanship. At this time, the temple is closed to the public, but it is worth visiting just to enjoy the beautiful gardens. You don’t have to be Buddhist to visit the temple. You just need to be respectful, and interested in experiencing an amazing place.
